Description
Self-braking descender with anti-panic function for lowering from an anchor The I’D EVAC self-braking descender is primarily designed for lowering from an anchor. The ergonomic handle is specifically oriented for managing a load from the anchor and offers comfortable descent control. The integrated anti-panic function and anti-error catch limit the risk of an accident due to user error. The AUTO-LOCK system allows the rope to be automatically locked without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device. Once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle. The safety gate allows the rope to be installed with the device remaining connected to the anchor. I’D EVAC is compatible with 10 to 11.5 mm ropes and allows handling of loads up to 250 kg.
Advanced Lowering Device for Anchor Operations
Our specially designed device is optimized for lowering operations from an anchor, featuring easy rope installation and control, enhancing safety and functionality for evacuation and rescue missions.
Easy to Use
- Safety Gate: The moving side plate with a safety gate allows the rope to be installed easily while the device remains connected to the anchor, enhancing operational speed and safety.
- Rope Installation: Facilitated by a rope guide and clear markings to prevent incorrect installation, coupled with an anti-error catch to further reduce accident risks.
- Ergonomic Handle: Designed for comfortable control of the descent with two descent modes—side plate or V-shaped friction channel. The handle is oriented specifically for managing loads from the anchor.
- Anti-Panic Function: Automatically stops the descent if the handle is pulled too hard, ensuring user safety during operation.
- AUTO-LOCK System: Automatically locks the rope without manual handle manipulation, with an automatic return system to minimize snagging risks.
- Storage Position: The handle automatically switches to storage position when the rope is removed, reducing snagging risks when the descender is carried on the harness.
Versatility
- Reversible Haul System: Once locked, the rope can be taken up without handle manipulation, ideal for setting up reversible haul systems.
- Lockable Side Plate: The moving side plate can be locked with a screw, making the I’D EVAC suitable for integration into evacuation kits.
- Auxiliary Brake: An open auxiliary brake allows for increased friction adjustment based on the weight of the load and rope diameter, enabling rope installation or release at any time.
Durability and Compatibility
- Stainless Steel Wear Plate: Enhances durability by reinforcing the rope friction zone, ideal for frequent and heavy use.
- Load Capacity: Capable of descending heavy loads up to 250 kg, suitable for demanding rescue operations.
- Rope Compatibility: Works with ropes ranging from 10 to 11.5 mm in diameter, accommodating a variety of rope types.
- Color Options: Available in yellow and black, providing visual options for operational preference or coding within equipment sets.
