ABSORBICA® - Petzl Energy Absorber - L010AA00

Compact energy absorber ABSORBICA® is a compact energy absorber, for use in combination with a JANE lanyard to make a fall arrest lanyard. Equipped with tear-webbing inside a pouch that opens on each end, the absorber is protected from abrasion, while allowing for regular inspection. It has two options for installation on the harness, according to the frequency of manipulation.

Designed to integrate seamlessly with a JANE lanyard, this energy absorber is engineered to create a safe, efficient fall arrest system with a maximum length of two meters, suitable for a range of user weights and applications.

Key Features

• Energy Absorption: In the event of a fall, the energy absorber webbing tears to limit the impact force on the user, suitable for individuals weighing between 50 and 140 kg. Progressive tearing helps reduce deceleration for lightweight users.
• Compact and Manageable: The design is compact to minimize bulk, facilitating easy handling and use in various situations.
• Protection and Inspection: Encased in a durable fabric pouch with an opening system at each end, the energy absorber is protected from abrasion and contaminants while remaining accessible for regular inspection.

Installation Options

• Versatile Connection Options: Offers flexibility in how it is attached to the harness based on the user's needs:
  • Frequent Connection/Disconnection: Can be connected using a carabiner, held in position by the STRING positioning accessory (included), or a MICRO SWIVEL to prevent tangling.
  • Semi-permanent Connection: Can be attached using a RING OPEN gated ring for optimal positioning or a SWIVEL OPEN to avoid tangling.
