ABSORBICA®-I - Petzl energy absorber- l011aa

The Petzl ABSORBICA®-I is a single lanyard with compact energy absorber, designed for progression on a horizontal lifeline (rope or cable) or on an elevated platform, without passing intermediate anchors. It functions with users weighing between 50 and 140 kg. It has several installation options on the harness and can be used with different types of connectors. It is available in two lengths: 80 or 150 cm versions (without connectors). The 150 cm version has an elasticized arm to avoid hindering progression. Depending on the connectors used, ABSORBICA®-I is certified to American, European, and Russian standards.

Optimized for safe progression on horizontal lifelines (rope or cable) or elevated platforms, this energy absorber is designed to enhance safety without hindering movement, suitable for users within a specific weight range.

Effective Energy Absorption

• Fall Protection: In the event of a fall, the absorber's webbing tears to limit the impact force on the user. It is effective for individuals weighing between 50 and 140 kg, with progressive tearing that reduces deceleration for lighter users.
• Compact Design: The energy absorber is compact and minimizes bulk, making it easier to handle and less likely to hinder progression. The FLEX version features 150 cm of elasticized webbing to further facilitate movement.
• Protected Construction: Housed in a durable fabric pouch with an opening system at each end, the absorber is well-protected from abrasion and contaminants while remaining accessible for regular inspection.

Installation Flexibility

• Connection Options:
  • Frequent Connection/Disconnection: Includes options for easy and quick connection with a carabiner, secured in the correct position by the STRING positioning accessory included with the lanyard.
  • Semi-permanent Connection: Alternatively, it can be connected using a RING OPEN gated ring, whose circular shape ensures optimal positioning on the harness.

Connector Choices and Sizes

• End Connector Options: Users can choose between a locking carabiner or an MGO OPEN connector with a large gate opening for easy and secure attachment.
• Available Lengths: Offered in two lengths, 80 cm and 150 cm, to accommodate different user needs and applications.
